Terms of Service

The terms that govern your use of the SongPort website, extension, and API.

Last updated: July 2026

Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the SongPort website at songport.link, the SongPort Chrome Extension, and the SongPort API (together, the "Service"), operated by Jonas Denil (Straatletters, Belgium). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

What SongPort does

SongPort converts a music link from one streaming platform into a single universal link that lets listeners open the same track on the platform of their choice. SongPort generates links to third-party services but does not host, control, or sell any music.

Third-party services

The Service creates links to, and reads public data from, third-party music platforms. SongPort uses the following third-party APIs: YouTube API Services. Your use of any third-party platform is governed by that platform's own terms.

In particular, by using SongPort you also agree to be bound by the following third-party terms:

SongPort is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube, Google, Spotify, Apple, Deezer, or any other platform.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service to infringe intellectual property or other rights;
  • scrape, bulk-download, or resell data obtained through the Service or its underlying third-party APIs;
  • attempt to disrupt, overload, or circumvent rate limits or security of the Service;
  • use the Service in any way that violates a third-party platform's terms.

The API

If you use the SongPort API, additional usage limits and plan terms apply as described on the developers page. We may throttle, suspend, or revoke API access that breaches these Terms or a third-party platform's policies.

No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that generated links are always accurate, available, or up to date — track availability is controlled by the third-party platforms, not by SongPort.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SongPort and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. SongPort is a free tool provided in good faith.

Privacy

Our handling of data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

Changes and governing law

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves; the latest version is always available at songport.link/terms. These Terms are governed by the laws of Belgium, and any dispute is subject to the competent courts of Belgium, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
