SongPort started in our university group chat. It used to be full of song links, until we all drifted onto different apps and they quietly stopped working for each other.
01 · The story
Five years of building interfaces together
Twelve years ago, eleven of us studied together. Four years of late nights, with school assignments stacking up the whole way through. Music kept our tempo high, playlists got made, songs got forwarded and carried us through the deadlines. We're still each other's closest friends.
These days we don't share a streaming app anymore. I moved from Spotify to Apple Music a while back, mostly because it pays artists a little better. My friends stayed put. So every time I wanted to send them a song, the link just died on their end. That's the reason I built SongPort.
02 · Who's behind this
It's just me, honestly
Hi, I'm Jonas. By day I'm a UX designer at an agency. Most other hours I'm behind a camera shooting photo and video, or losing a small argument with one of my two cats about who owns the desk.
SongPort is a side project. I built it the way I wish more tools worked: quick to use, honest about what it is, and happy to get out of your way once it's done.

We match tracks using ISRC codes and metadata, with the Songlink/Odesli API as a fallback when we cannot resolve a link ourselves. Accuracy is extremely high for officially distributed releases.
