Right of withdrawal

For consumers who take a paid plan. This page belongs to the API Terms (article 7).

Effective 15 November 2026

You have 14 days to change your mind

If you take a paid SongPort plan as a private individual, you may withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving a reason. The 14 days start when you take out your first paid subscription, so at your first payment. That day itself doesn't count: if you signed up on 3 October, you can withdraw up to and including 17 October, Belgian time.

What you get back

We refund everything you paid for that subscription, even if you already used the API during that period. So you pay nothing for the days you had the plan. Your plan stops right away. We start the refund as soon as we receive your withdrawal, using the same payment method, at no cost to you. It reaches your account within 14 days, usually within 10. Your account stays and goes back to the free Sandbox plan.

How to withdraw

  • In the portal: go to Billing and click "Withdraw from contract". The button is there for as long as the 14 days are running, with the last day next to it. You confirm with your name and see the amount you get back before you do.
  • Or email hello@songport.link with your name, the email address of your account and the sentence "I withdraw from my contract for SongPort [plan]".
  • Or use the model form below, by email or by post.

It's enough to send your withdrawal before the 14 days are over. You get an acknowledgement by email right away, with the date and time of your withdrawal.

Does this apply to me?

The right of withdrawal is for consumers. If you entered a VAT number at checkout, you take the plan as a business and it doesn't apply. It applies to your first paid subscription, not to every monthly renewal. If you switch plans within the 14 days, it stays the same subscription and the same period.

After the 14 days you can still cancel at any time. Your plan then runs until the end of the paid month (see article 6 of the API Terms).
